The sand timers are made of pure cedar wood and heat-resistant tempered glass. Sand timers are designed to be used inside the traditional dry sauna and allow the user to monitor a fixed time interval of 5, 10 and 15 minutes. Ideally the timer is placed on the opposite wall from the electric sauna heater, and is controlled by simply rotating it. Even with prolonged use, the accuracy of the timer remains the same due to the uniform graininess of the annealed and sifted sand.
